Description

In just 6 weeks, your child will write, revise, and publish a real book—building confidence, literacy skills, and pride along the way.

This small-group online program is designed for second graders who are curious, creative, and ready to explore storytelling while experiencing the joy of seeing their name in print.

Program Overview

In just 6 weeks, your child will:

• Write and revise their own original story

• Learn story structure and storytelling skills

• Receive personalized teacher guidance

• Become a credited author in a professionally published multi-author book

• Celebrate their achievement in the Author Celebration

• Receive one printed copy of their book and a digital copy

Program Structure

• Program Length: 6 weeks

• Format: Live online small-group sessions

• Group Size: 5–8 children

• Instructor: Certified K–6 teacher and author mentor

Weekly Learning Journey

• Weeks 1–2: Story ideas, characters, settings, and strong beginnings

• Weeks 3–4: Writing the middle, sequencing events, revising with feedback

• Week 5: Final edits, author bios, and publishing preparation

• Week 6: Author Celebration and book reveal

Publishing & Authorship

At the end of the program, students are published in a professionally produced multi-author book. Each child:

• Writes their own story

• Is credited as an author

• Has a chapter in the book

• Includes a short author bio

• Receives one printed copy and a digital copy

Each child can proudly say:

“I’m a published author.”

Program Timeline: Cohorts & Start Times

• Available Start Dates (Staggered Cohorts)

  • Starts: 1st Monday of the Month

  • Time: 5pm–6pm

  • Duration: 6 weeks

  • Spots: Limited to 5–8 children

Additional cohorts and start dates will be added as the fellowship grows.

• Author Celebration: Week 6 (online session)

• Book Delivery: Shortly after program ends

• $299 per child – includes instruction, publishing, and one printed book
